Hotel Receptionist
The Role
Due to expansion of our business we are looking to recruit an extra team member.
As the face of our hotel, you’ll be the first and last impression for our guests. Working across a variety of shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm on a rota basis (38.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including weekends), your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Welcoming guests on arrival and managing smooth check-in and check-out
• Handling telephone, email and in-person enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
• Processing reservations and managing room allocations
• Taking payments and managing till procedures accurately
• Coordinating with housekeeping, golf, and events teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Assisting with enquiries relating to The Meadow Barn wedding venue
• Providing local knowledge and recommendations to guests
• Carrying out general administrative duties as required
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer-facing hospitality role (preferred)
• Warm, confident and professional communication skills
• A natural ability to make guests feel welcome and at ease
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Comfortable using property management or booking systems (training provided)
• Flexible and reliable — able to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
